Ayer, 26 de octubre, se celebró en la sede de Mercabarna, Barcelona, la Final Nacional del concurso “European Food Nexus Startup Challenge” en un gran evento organizado por CLUSTER FOOD+i (Clúster Alimentario del Valle del Ebro).

“Insylo” y “Natural Machines”, ganadoras de la Final Nacional, competirán en la Gran Final europea para poder ser elegidas como la Mejor Startup AgroTech / FoodTech de Europa. “Insylo”, es una startup especializada en la monitorización de silos en explotaciones ganaderas para optimizar el proceso de distribución de piensos.

“Natural Machines” apuesta por la alimentación saludable y el consumo de productos frescos y su impresión en 3D. Estas dos startups tendrán la oportunidad de trabajar con empresas de gran relevancia como pueden ser Unilever, FrieslandCampina y otras empresas líderes del sector agroalimentario.

La Gran Final Europea reunirá a todos los finalistas de cada país que participarán en la última ronda de selección programada para el 13 de diciembre de 2017 que se celebrará en Wageningen, Holanda. El ganador europeo recibirá un premio en efectivo de 50.000 €, además de las ventajas y beneficios de ser finalista.

Las dos startups ganadoras compitieron ayer con Agroconecta, Natural Machines, Insylo, Fred Cold Brew, Pycno, Vacapp, Egg Gourmet, Instagreen, Suppa Caps y Astibot, startups preseleccionadas en la primera ronda de clasificación y consideradas entre las mejores 10 de España.

The National Final of the “European Food Nexus Startup Challenge” took place at Mercabarna’s headquarters on 26 October. The important event was organised by CLUSTER FOOD+i (Ebro Valley Food Cluster) in collaboration with the IRTA (Research and Food Technology Institute).

National Final winners “Insylo” and “Natural Machines” will compete in the European Grand Final to be named Europe’s Best AgriTech / FoodTech Startup. “Insylo”, specialises in monitoring silos in livestock farms to optimise the feed distribution process.

“Natural Machines” focuses on healthy food and 3D printed fresh produce. These two startups will have the opportunity to work with major companies such as Unilever, FrieslandCampina and other leading food and agriculture industry companies.
All the finalists from each country will take part in the European Grand Final, which will be held in Wageningen, Holland on 13 December 2017. The winner will receive a cash prize of €50,000, as well as the advantages and benefits of being a finalist.

Yesterday, the two winning companies competed against Spain’s other best startups in the first classification round. Agroconecta, Natural Machines, Insylo, Fred Cold Brew, Pycno, Vacapp, Egg Gourmet, Instagreen, Suppa Caps and Astibot were then chosen to compete in the National Final of the event.

La entrada “Insylo” y “Natural Machines”, startups españolas ganadoras de la Final Nacional del “European Food Nexus Startup Challenge”. se publicó primero en FOOD+i.

El “European FoodNexus StartUp Challenge” es un concurso dirigido a empresas innovadoras del sector agro y de alimentación en toda Europa que selecciona a la Startup AgroTech o FoodTech europea más prometedora.

Agroconecta, Natural Machines, Insylo, Fred Cold Brew, Pycno, Vacapp, Egg Gourmet, Instagreen, Suppa Caps y Astibot son los nombres de las startups seleccionadas de entre todos los participantes en la primera ronda de clasificación celebrada en La Rioja.

El próximo día 26 de octubre en Barcelona, se llevará a cabo la Final Nacional en un gran evento organizado por CLUSTER FOOD+i (Cluster Alimentario del Valle del Ebro) en las instalaciones de Mercabarna, a las 11 de la mañana. Asistirán las diez startups que ya han sido seleccionadas y defenderán su proyecto de forma presencial. De este evento, saldrán las dos startups finalistas españolas que irán a la gran final en Europa.
Estos dos equipos ganadores, junto con los otros finalistas europeos, tendrán la oportunidad de trabajar con empresas de gran relevancia como pueden ser Unilever, FrieslandCampina y otras empresas líderes del sector agroalimentario.
