El 16 de mayo en Zaragoza, CLUSTER FOOD+i presentará el proyecto KATANA en el IV Foro Emprendimiento Agroalimentario en Aragón.
El Proyecto KATANA, proyecto financiado bajo el programa marco de innovación H2020, proporcionará 1,2 millones de euros de financiación para ideas innovadoras en el sector agroalimentario. Su objetivo es mejorar la competitividad del sector agroalimentario. Para ello apoyará la incorporación de tecnologías avanzadas al sector, y propiciará la creación de nuevos productos y servicios.
Pretende incorporar la biotecnología, la robótica, así como sistemas de hardware y software a todos los aspectos de la agricultura y transformación alimentaria tradicional. De este modo, a las Pymes se les brinda un sistema de colaboración con acceso conocimiento, tecnología, capital y mercados.
La convocatoria que ya muy avanzada se abrió a finales del 2016 y está dirigida a Pymes, Start-Ups, emprendedores o personas físicas pertenecientes a la UE con una visión de futuro en la industria agroalimentaria, TIC e industrias emergentes.
María Díaz Navarro de CLUSTER FOOD+i y responsable del proyecto en Europa, hablará de financiación y aceleración de pymes agroalimentarias y presentará a los finalistas del proyecto.

The KATANA project is financed under the H2020 framework innovation programme and will provide Euros 1.2 million in financing for innovative ideas within the food and agriculture industry. The aim of the project is to make the food and agriculture industry more competitive. To do this, the project will help the industry incorporate advanced technologies and will promote new products and services.
The objective is to incorporate biotechnology, robotics and hardware and software systems into all areas of agriculture and traditional food processing mechanisms. It will offer SMEs a means to collaborate and will provide access to knowledge, technology, capital and markets.
The call for tenders is now at an advanced stage (it opened towards the end of 2016) and is intended for SMEs, startups, entrepreneurs or EU citizens with a forward-looking approach as regards the food and agriculture industry, ICTs and emerging industries.
María Díaz Navarro of CLUSTER FOOD+i, who manages the project within Europe, will talk about financing and how to accelerate the progress of food and agriculture industry SMEs and will also present the project finalists.
